Episode Theory
“The ending of every episode in life signifies the beginning of a new one.”
Yes, of course, the “biggie” is birth and death of the body. Within the span of that episode every one of us has had hundreds of shorter episodes -- each with its beginning and end. If you went into great detail identifying and recording these episodes it would be creating your auto-biography -- not a bad thing to do.
For our purposes we are going to limit our review of episodes to transitions that in all likelihood have been experienced by every dentist entering retirement. So let us review the how and when this decades long trail began.

Our October 22, 2010, program at the Highlander Inn and Conference Center in Manchester, NH features Steve Vernon, author of Live Long and Prosper. He will speak all morning on: “Recession Proof Your Retirement Years” . The afternoon program will, in part, consist of three topics: 1) “The Psychology of Retirement” by Jill Nooney from Exeter Counseling, 2) “Health Care Reform. What it Means to You” by Paul Whitcomb from Secure Planning Inc, and 3) “Options for Retirement Living” by Cathleen Toomey of Riverwoods in Exeter NH.
