The China Study, by Thomas M. Campbell II, MD, and T. Colin Campbell, PhD, Ben Bella Books, Dallas, TX, 2016. This updated version of the original study is called, “The most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted.” It is remarkable that this book and the research to back it up has not swept our nation. The studies and conclusions provide seemingly incontrovertible evidence for the value of whole food plant based diets. An important point is that many chronic diseases can be reversed by changes in our diets, so making changes now in our diets can have positive effects on our future health no matter what our habits have been in the past, and no matter what our genetic composition is.
